Great food and service and the menus changes.

Romie's was an unexpected surprise. We were traveling between Birmingham and Memphis and needed a lunch spot. Tupelo was the right timing and Romie's turned out to be the right place. They are a casual old time cafe serving some really good southern food. Everything was cooked properly and very well prepared. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. It appears to be a local favorite. If you're passing through, skip Cracker Barrell and upgrade to real southern cooking. Don't forget the banana pudding. The serving size is a little small, but the flavor is really big!

Staff very friendly and food was very at reasonable price

Their BBQ is pretty good, as well as their appetizers. I was not a fan of their brisket tacos with cole slaw on them, however. Nice, friendly staff and even live music on the weekends.

Great food. Daily specials. They don't have draft beer or vast selection but the food and service is usually fantastic.

Loved it. Close 2 my house instead of driving all the way 2 Cracker Barrel. Good old fashioned cooking.

Excellent food and staff

Serving staff needs some serious training, a smack on the head, or just flat out fired. Three hours we were there listening to our friends band and not once did the server attend to our table. I had to go to the bar and get the drinks myself. I may return but only to see the band, if they ever play there again. But not for the food and definitely not for the service. These clowns should be ashamed.

Nice place, but I think they try to be a little to trendy with their food. My hamburger was overly salted, and my salad had too much on it.

Went for a birthday they knew several were coming and had tables reserved but service was horrible. Those of us who actually got our food waited over an hour for it and it was cold. Had to refill our own glasses. Some never even got their orders.

Good food, good atmosphere, good service. Romie's offered a welcome respite from the other ho hum restaurants in the area.

It was okay food. Maybe it was what I ordered that day , chicken and dressing, green beans and? I did not eat it all and I will not go back again.

Great homestyle southern specialties. We arrived with a very largeParty that was handled well. All enjoyed their meal. I had fried catfish accompanied by fried green tomatoes and hush puppies. Selections change daily.

Food was very good. However, don't go at 4 expecting to eat off of their dinner menu, or, for that matter, a full lunch menu. Either come before 2 or after 5.

Great place to grab lunch or dinner. Good food and music. They always have a lunch special.

We always have wonderful service and I've never had a bad meal. The burgers are fabulous. Their lunch specials are always good. And the steaks are fabulous

The food was delicious but we sat for about 20 minutes before we ever got waited on. Service was extremely slow.

If any of you have worked in the fast food industry or mechanic shops, you know the floors can get a little greasy in kitchen or the shop. That's how their dining room felt like, a greasy, slimy, slip and slide. It was gross. I know it comes from improper floor cleaning when closing. That tile can't be greasy. A young woman in heels or elder person etc can get hurt very badly. The food was great, but I'm folks a safety violations is an automatic fail. I'm sure management will see this and straighten it out because it was a nice atmosphere. Plenty of parking, outside patio, even a band. Food was hot, cooked correctly and arrived in a timely manner and we were in a party of +15.

We went to eat dinner and were told we would have to wait 20 minutes more to order off of the dinner menu, they were still serving lunch at 4:40 pm...i can deal with that but the same waitress that told us we had to wait turned around and handed dinner menus to a party of 12 people seated next to us. Seems arbitrary to me plus she was rude to boot.The food was ok, seems a bit over priced for the portion. I have eaten there before and it was better all around. Definitely unimpressive, we will not be dining there again, too many other choices.

Food is good, staff is excellent. We ate in the bar area it is more cozy than the dining area, which is more a cafeteria style dining room. They also have a patio which has live music at times and it's a open area, so people are allowed to smoke. This is a place I have been before and will go back to. I love to do local business but I'm not going to do it just because they're local, they have to earn it. And these guys have earned it.

Good hot on time did not had to wait.

The food was good, but I showed up just after the lunch rush and my service left something to be desired. My waitress seemingly forgot about me after getting my drink, then one of my sides had been forgotten when I finally got my food. I never saw my waitress again to mention it to her. Also, my chair was wobbly.

Stopped here while making a quick trip to Tupelo. Great local spot. They have plate lunch specials as well as a good lunch menu. The fried green tomatoes were great. Staff was very friendly & attentive.

Got pretty drunk at this place and a dude pulled a knife on another dude and the waitress was knife mans gf. Cops came and a band played. I dropped my phone in water. Pretty cool tho

Romies used to be one of my favorite places, but I've been really disappointed lately. I placed a to go order the other day, and whoever packed it just threw it together, forgetting a couple of things. The person at the front noticed one thing was missing, but I got back and didn't have any salad dressing for my salad. For a $12 salad, I feel like it should've been done right. I messaged them on Facebook just to let them politely know and I didn't hear back. We've been disappointed in the service lately too. I really hate it but I probably will not be back to Romies for a while..

Best chicken tenders in town at lunch time. For Supper though they are always different, don't like them as much then. But best food and great atmosphere.

Well worth it in terms of food quality and service and affordable price, a landmark in Tupelo
